PSD2 Compliance (Payment Services Directive 2)
We offer services for PSPs (Payment Service Providers) that ensure the security of information flow and authentication mechanisms compliant with the requirements of the PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2).
What we provide
- ✓ Certificates: QSEAL (Qualified Electronic Seal) and QWAC (Qualified Website Authentication Certificate) – technical proof of compliance and service authentication.
- ✓ Target audience: ASPSPs (Account Servicing Payment Service Providers) and TPPs (Third Party Providers) operating within the European Union.
Payment Service Providers (PSPs) are required to hold two qualified certificates:
- ✓ QWAC (Qualified Website Authentication Certificate) – confirms the identity of the service, enabling secure encryption and authentication of connections between systems (machine-to-machine / peer-to-peer).
- ✓ QSEAL (Qualified Electronic Seal) – used for the digital "sealing" of transmitted data: it signs, ensures integrity, and proves the authenticity of documents. The seal certificate contains the entity's data and its assigned role.
Typical roles specified in the seal certificate:
- ✓ ASPSP (Account Servicing Payment Service Provider) — a provider managing payment accounts.
- ✓ AISP (Account Information Service Provider) — a provider of account information access services.
- ✓ PISP (Payment Initiation Service Provider) — a provider of payment initiation services.
- ✓ PIISP (Payment Instrument Issuer Service Provider) — a provider issuing payment instruments (e.g., cards).
