ACS PocketKey+ Bio AFD03-A1 - FIDO Security Key with Fingerprint
ACS PocketKey+ Bio AFD03-A1 is a compact security key designed for modern user authentication. It combines FIDO2 and FIDO U2F with a built-in fingerprint sensor, enabling secure passwordless authentication.
The security key can be used through USB Type-C or NFC. Biometric fingerprint authentication is available through the USB interface. PocketKey+ Bio combines the convenience of a highly portable security key with hardware-based authentication.
FIDO2 and FIDO U2F
PocketKey+ Bio is certified for FIDO2 and FIDO U2F. FIDO technology enables cryptographic authentication instead of transmitting traditional passwords to online services. A unique cryptographic key can be generated for each service and securely stored on the device.
Fingerprint authentication
The integrated biometric sensor supports registration of up to 10 fingerprints. This allows the user to verify their identity with a fingerprint instead of entering a password or code in supported FIDO authentication scenarios.
The biometric acquisition time is below 100 ms. ACS specifies a false reject rate below 1.2% and a false acceptance rate below 1:50,000.
Up to 100 passkeys
PocketKey+ Bio can store up to 100 resident FIDO2 credentials (passkeys), allowing one compact security key to be used with multiple accounts and services.
USB Type-C + NFC
The device provides two communication interfaces: USB Type-C and NFC. The USB interface uses USB HID and supports USB 2.0 Full Speed up to 12 Mbps. The NFC interface supports ISO 14443 Type A.
Important: the NFC interface is used for FIDO communication, while fingerprint biometric authentication is available through USB.
Hardware-based security
PocketKey+ Bio uses ECC P-256 cryptography and hardware-based authentication. The device is certified for FIDO2 Level 1 and FIDO U2F. It also supports TOTP/HOTP, while Enterprise Attestation is available on request.
Compatibility
PocketKey+ Bio supports Windows, Linux, macOS, Android and iOS. Compatible browsers include Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge and Firefox, together with platforms and online services supporting FIDO authentication.
